The Cardigans(羊毛衫乐队),来自瑞典，成立于1992年10月，由五人组成，乐队成员当时都还不到20岁,成员分别为Nina Persson(主唱)、Peter Svensson(吉他)、Bengt Lagerberg(鼓手)、Magnus Sveningsson(贝司)、Lasse Johansson(键盘,原声吉他)。如同ABBA,ROXETTE,ACE OF BASE等,都是瑞典乐坛可以载入史册的知名团体.The Cardigans的音乐充满着富余生活的年轻人的玩笑、休闲、恋情和胡思乱想还带有些叛逆。
The cardigans音乐风格非常多样:Adult Alternative Pop/Rock(成人另类流行/摇滚); Ambient Pop(氛围流行); Indie Pop(独立流行); Swedish Pop/Rock(瑞典流行/摇滚); Twee Pop(矫饰流行).从他们不同时期的作品中可以领略到不同的风格.主唱Nina Persson懒洋洋的演唱，靡靡乎使人如坠五里云雾。乐队的音乐是煞费苦心地用音效、各种打击乐器和多变的演奏手法精心点缀的，花哨但不俗气，令人感到那是有闲阶级的雅趣，这是一种带有jazz和pop影响的独特的风格，它将The Cardigans与其它任何乐队区分开来,这正是The Cardigans的独特魅力。脍炙人口的‘罗密欧+茱丽叶’电影主题曲的“Love fool”你们一定还记得吧，这首单曲不仅获得英美点播冠军、英国金榜亚军，还让The Cardigans步入一流乐队行列。
2008年1月21日，羊毛衫对外公布了这张即将来临的精选集的最终的曲目清单，并最终确定为一双CD版本，CD1包含乐队精心挑选的最好歌曲，CD2为稀有版本及B-SIDE。这张精选集已于2008年1月30在瑞典首发。
